Allied Arts Council presents: Downtown Lens - Temporary Murals in the Downtown Core
Local artists create ephemeral(temporary) window murals in partnership with local businesses in the downtown core. These murals go beyond typical window painting as artists create works of art to delight pedestrians. Pick up a map of mural locations and artists at AAC Works on 7 Street or at Casa.
In early September, the historic Galt Hospital building received a temporary floral facelift thanks to an initiative led by the Allied Arts Council (AAC). The project, titled AAC Downtown Lens, is part of the events and programming for Lethbridge Arts Days — a month-long celebration of the arts held in conjunction with provincial and national Culture Days.
The Galt Museum & Archives was honored to be selected as a participating location for the 2025 initiative, and we’re excited about the opportunity to be involved again in the future!

Local artists, Cass Williamson, and Emily Metherel were participating artists of the 2025 program, and painted the mural on the Galt.
