Overview

Mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War by learning about men who served on the Western Front and their families who lived in Lethbridge. Take a trip down to the archives to read actual letters and dairies from the conflict. 

This program was written to complement the Grade 4 curriculum, but it can also be used to study themes of nationalism, community, identity and stories in other grade levels.

  • Recognize how stories of people and events provide multiple perspectives on past and present events.
