Shin Takahashi in his Second World War (1939–1945) uniform. He was born in 1918 in Raymond, Alberta. His parents were Matsu Saburo and Mun Takahashi. Shin married Hisako in 1948 and they had two boys and five girls. Shin Takahashi volunteered for the Royal Canadian Engineers and was stationed in Europe during the Second World War.
