By royal decree, let it be known throughout the land!

In its second glorious year, the Renaissance Faire at Fort Whoop-Up shall rise once more from the mists of time, from the hour of 10ma ‘til 6 in the eve, and carry forth its revelry on Saturday, September the 5th!

Wander the grounds and find thyself transported to days of yore, where merchants display their finest wares and history comes alive in wondrous form. Gaze upon elixirs of life, try thy hand at ancient crafts, brave the tarot of truth, and more. Noble lords, bards, curious knaves, cursed villains! – all ages shall find delight in this grand celebration of historical times past!

Beyond these experiences, visitors can explore a bustling Magical Market featuring local artisans and vendors. Throughout the day, attendees can test their skills at archery, try candle making and leatherworking, enjoy tarot and tea leaf readings, and experience live demonstrations ranging from blacksmithing and fiber arts to traditional material culture and pemmican preparation. Action seekers won't want to miss the Black Spears Combat Arena and activities hosted by local medieval groups, while families can enjoy face painting, wooden horse activities, food trucks, and more

HARK! A LIFT!

Due to the limited hitching (parking) space down in the river bottom, we’ve eased thy burden by providing a chariot to the Faire grounds at Fort Whoop-Up. Runs every 15 minutes!

PICKELES AND POEMS!

The Friends of the Galt Museum & Archives are the premier sponsor of the 2026 event and will be onsite collecting donations in support of future programming and events at the Galt Museum.

The fun doesn't stop with a donation. For every contribution made to the Friends of the Galt, donors will receive a pickle on a stick and a custom poem, written and recited on the spot.

Niitsitapi Gallery & SAAG Art Activities

This year we’ve partnered with the Southern Albert Art Gallery (SAAG) to bring you a crafting experience like no other. The facilitators will be guiding you through creating making heraldry inspired pennant flags using hand-carved block print stamps and fabric markers.
