Young Medicine added to June 5 Wednesdays at the Galt program line-up

In addition to the scheduled performance by the école St. Mary Dance Troupe, Young Medicine has been added to the June 5 Wednesdays at the Galt afternoon program for ages 55+.

Young Medicine features Curt Young and Jamie Medicine Crane, First Nations performers who use Traditional and contemporary music and dance to share their life experiences and culture. Young sings, plays guitar, cedar flute and hand drum, while Medicine Crane uses contemporary and Traditional styles of fancy dancing, she also sings, plays flute, hand drum and rattle.

 Also new to the Wednesdays at the Galt programs is the addition of pastries available for purchase at the coffee bar prior to and following each program. Wednesdays at the Galt runs on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 2:00 pm.
