The Galt Museum & BIPOC Foundation extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the Indigenous Fashion Show, part of the Galt’s Truth and Reconciliation 2025 programming.
The event aimed to create a platform that elevates Indigenous voices and honours cultural expression through fashion and storytelling in wearable art. With this goal at its core, the evening celebrated the creativity and artistry of both contemporary and traditional Indigenous fashion.
We welcomed 363 guests and spotlighted 7 talented designers (Taya Cook of T Monae Creations; Veronica J Oka-Wells of Stars, Ribbons and Threads; Melrene Saloy EagleSpeaker of Native Diva Creations; Roberta Hibbert of Eli’sawey Designs; Tara Froelich Michif Designer; Jolene Robichaud of JR Fashion Designs; Sherri First Rider - an incredible Indigenous market and 21 independent models who brought these powerful creations to life.
