A traveling exhibition developed for the Year of the Coal Miner

now on at the Museum at the Mall Park Place Shopping Centre, Lethbridge

The exhibit draws on oral history projects undertaken in Edmonton by the Dante Alighieri Society and the Italians Settle in Edmonton Historical Society. It is based on the personal research of Dr. Adriana Albi Davies and on the website Celebrating Alberta's Italian Community - www.albertasource.ca/abitalian - developed by Dr. Davies for the Heritage Community Foundation.

This exhibit would not have been possible without the support of the Heritage Community Foundation and members of the Italian community in Alberta and British Columbia. Funding support was provided by the Canadian Cultural Capitals Program, Department of Canadian Heritage, and consortium partners, who also provided archival images and some artifacts.
