The Power of the Breath for Relaxation & Whole-Body Wellbeing
In this workshop you will learn about the breathing apparatus in ways that you may not have considered. You will explore a variety of breathing, and a few other related, techniques in order to enhance relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, increase the immune system's efficacy, decrease pain and improve overall well-being. Elaine Jagielski, BSc, MA, Fitness Alberta Trainer Educator - is an educator and wellness practitioner with extensive experience in health psychology, kinesiology, and professional training. Elaine served as an instructor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge teaching a variety of courses including Contemporary Health Issues and Nutrition. Elaine has been a Trainer Educator with Fitness Alberta for 35 years and a certified fitness instructor for over 40 years. Her academic work emphasizes evidence-based health promotion, mind–body integration, and the psychosocial factors that influence human performance. Elaine is also an experienced facilitator, delivering seminars and workshops in areas such as breathwork, stress physiology, self-regulation, and personal development.
