Treasures & Curiosities - Exhibit Launch Event

Join us in celebrating our newest temporary exhibitions that feature nearly 200 objects on display! Treasures & Curiosities welcomes the community to see the collection up close. We’ve invited over 100 community members to choose items from the museum’s collection to showcase and share stories about their picks. Through this exhibition, we’re excited to make new memories and connections.

 This exhibition opening will celebrate all the selections made by community participants and recognize the work of over a dozen volunteers who supported them. Join us in the fun and wonder—what Treasures & Curiosities will you discover?

Also, enjoy “What’s it Worth?” an Antiques Roadshow-style event with a twist featuring Canadian Pickers star Sheldon Smithens! As the owner of Smithens Antiques since 1992, Sheldon also teaches courses for the University of Calgary and has conducted appraisals for numerous museums across the prairies.
