The Politics of Sound Exhibit Launch

  • Galt Museum & Archives 502 1 Street South Lethbridge, AB, T1J 1Y4 Canada (map)

Join us at the museum for our special exhibit launch to celebrate The Politics of Sound following our members-only sneak peek. The evening will feature a cash bar, introductory remarks, a live musical performance by singer-songwriter Richard Inman, informal tours of the exhibit and opportunities to speak with curators and participants.

Richard Inman has been a touring musician for thousands of miles and hundreds of shows a year, in Canada, Denmark and Germany. Whether playing for thousands at festivals or dozens in a back road bar in rural Saskatchewan, Inman's honesty, poeticism and self-deprecating ballads have connected him to a devoted following and cemented his place as a Canadian songwriting giant.

7:30–9:00 pm | adults & seniors | museum admission applies | free to members | cash bar

This event will be live-captioned.

Live captions convert audio dialogue and sounds into text that appears on a video in real time. They are commonly provided for events and meetings that are streamed over the internet or for in-person meetings.

Live captions provide an inclusive meeting experience for participants who may not otherwise be able to hear speakers and sounds at the event. They provide access and benefit other attendees such as those who might have distractions or non-native English speakers.

Thanks to KLM Captioning and the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association Calgary Chapter for providing this service.
