Meditation Basics for Enhanced Wellbeing with Elaine Jagielski
Many people find the beneficial outcomes of meditation elusive as they feel that getting into the meditative state quite challenging. In this workshop you will explore a variety of meditative, and a few other related, practices as well as learn a few techniques to get into the meditative state more easily. This will assist in potentially decreasing stress, anxiety, blood pressure and pain, reducing inflammation, enhancing sleep, enjoying a greater sense of well-being, along with improving focus and concentration.
Elaine Jagielski, BSc, MA, Fitness Alberta Trainer Educator - is an educator and wellness practitioner with extensive experience in health psychology, kinesiology, and professional training. Elaine served as an instructor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge teaching a variety of courses including Contemporary Health Issues and Nutrition. Elaine has been a Trainer Educator with Fitness Alberta for 35 years and a certified fitness instructor for over 40 years. Her academic work emphasizes evidence-based health promotion, mind–body integration, and the psychosocial factors that influence human performance. Elaine is also an experienced facilitator, delivering seminars and workshops in areas such as breathwork, stress physiology, self-regulation, and personal development.
