APRIL 17, 18, 19, 20 | 2026

The Friends of the Galt Museum and Archives | Akaisamitohkanao'pa presents the 4th Annual Lethbridge International Film Festival (LIFF), taking place April 17–20, 2026 in Lethbridge. The four-day festival begins April 17 with the opening films and gala, continues with full days of screenings on April 18 and 19, and concludes April 20 with the closing films and party. LIFF 2026 will feature over 70 films from 18 countries, including 13 local productions.

LIFF will be held at our home venue, the Galt, and our sister venues, The Movie Mill and Sterndale Bennett Theatre. The festival will showcase local, national, and international films, including premieres and exclusive screenings with cast and crew in attendance. Audiences can also enjoy special events featuring director and actor Q&As, live scores performed over locally commissioned LIFF works, and engaging sharing circles. Enjoy cocktails, red carpet glamour, great films, live music and immersive settings at the opening gala and closing party.

The festival highlights films created by and representing under-represented voices and aligns with the community-centred mandate of the Galt Museum & Archives to deepen a sense of belonging by reflecting the world around us. Tickets and program launch March 27.

LIFF bridges local talent with global creativity, offering a rich tapestry of genres and styles with something for every audience member, regardless of age or taste.
