Moccasins and Felted Vests Heritage Arts Workshops

Multiple-day Workshops for adults | pre-registration required

Experts in moccasin making and felt design will be at the Galt Museum & Archives in early June and August to lead the in-depth Heritage Arts Workshops — a hands-on series for adults exploring arts with cultural and historical significance.

“Heritage arts classes are a chance to deepen your historical knowledge of a treasured craft,” says Leslie Hall, Community Program Coordinator for the Galt. “These classes are rare opportunities to get started in a hobby you’ve always wanted to try, or deepen your knowledge of an existing skill.”

Johnson teaches felt making techniques and exhibits her contemporary feltworks in galleries, shops, and museums around the world. This is her only workshop in Canada this year.
