Community Stories Explored in Galt Cemetery Tours

Lethbridge – Join us on a walk with a purpose! This July and August, Galt Museum & Archives Museum Educator Belinda Crowson goes on a walk through time as she highlights biographies of people buried in local cemeteries, explains cemetery symbols and history, and shares stories of Lethbridge's past.

“Every year I look forward to the cemetery tours,” muses Crowson. “I’ve had the best conversations with people in the cemetery. As we reflect on their stories and lives, who knows where the conversation will go? People are always surprised by what they learn and about the many interesting people who have called southern Alberta home.”

The Summer Cemetery Tours are held from 7:00 – 8:30 pm on the scheduled dates. Tickets are $4 per person or $3 for Galt Annual Pass Holders, GST included. They are available at the Galt Museum Store – call 403.320-3954, and online – follow the links at www.galtmuseum.com. If not sold out, tickets can also be obtained at the start of each tour.
