Fort Whoop-Up Open for the Summer

Lethbridge, AB  - The Galt Museum & Archives is pleased to announce Fort Whoop-Up  opens for the summer season on Sunday, May 14 from 1–5 pm.

Admission includes an interpretive tour and a complimentary wagon ride, pulled by the Fort Whoop-Up teamster and his Clydesdale and Percheron horses. Wagon rides will run seven days a week in the summer of 2017. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.  Fort Whoop-Up Site Coordinator, Natasha Gray has developed activities for visitors including a special Mother’s Day program where visitors can make their own fortified flower pot.

The Fort Whoop-Up facility in Lethbridge turns 50 this year. “This opening day will be the start of a season of celebrations and fun for the community” says Galt Museum & Archives CEO Susan Burrows-Johnson.
