The Galt Museum & Archives has an important and timely role to play in bringing the past to life for southern Alberta residents and visitors.

Margaret's Story...
" We have a treasure in the Galt Museum & Archives. The museum and archive both play major roles in preserving our heritage and educating our children. Without the foresight of groups like the Friends of the Galt Museum and the Lethbridge Historical Society, we wouldn’t have a place to be enjoyed by the citizens of Lethbridge and our visitors. And now, we not only have a place to enjoy but a place that achieves excellence in preservation and education of our past. That is the reason I have left a bequest for the Galt in my Will. I would like to help this valuable institution so that they can continue to preserve our heritage and teach our children about the pioneers of Southern Alberta and the valuable contributions they made to our lives." |

Looking Back... It's been 5 years since our reopening on May 6, 2006!
The generous support of over 400 foundations, businesses, organizations, groups and individuals, as well as all levels of government, meant a 100% success in meeting the capital costs for our Expansion Project. |
