The
tour begins as we interpret the history en route to Waterton Lakes
National Park. Enjoy two new nature walks: a natural history stroll
and a guided Wildflower Tour hosted by the Waterton
Wildflower Festival. You'll have time to visit the
town site and Wildflower Fair.
NOTE:
nature walks are on unpaved pathways/dirt trails. Must be able to
stand and walk at a gentle pace for 2 hours at a time. Lunch venue
has stairs and no elevator.
Learn
about Hutterite history and culture over pastries and coffee at
the Galt, followed by a tour of the modern Wilson
Hutterite Colony and a home cooked lunch with the
community.
NOTE:
Pathways are gravel or wooden sidewalks. Lunch venue accessed via
short flight of stairs (approx. 5 stairs)
Explore
the changing face of ranching in southwestern Alberta on a journey
into Cowboy country with our expert interpreters. Tour
Kootenai
Brown Pioneer Villagefollowed by roping, saddling,
and cattle cutting demonstrations and delicious dinner at Sierra
West Ranch.

Bruisedhead, Kainai interpreter at the Galt, joins us as our
expert tour guide to this amazing Provincial
Park - a pending UNESCO World Heritage Site of spiritual
signficance to the Blackfoot people.
Go
on guided tours of the protected area rock art and the interpretive
centre. Enjoy a picnic lunch and some free time to explore the hoodoos
on your own.

no railings.
