FULL-DAY TOUR

Curator Wendy Aitkens takes us on a journey through Alberta's natural history as we drive to the spectacular setting of Waterton Lakes National Park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Go on a guided Wildflower Tour hosted by the Waterton Wildflower Festival. 50 of Canada's rare flowers grow in Waterton, 30 of which are found only in this park!

Time to visit the townsite is built in!

 

Hutterites & History

HALF-DAY TOUR

Learn about Hutterite history and culture over refreshments at the Galt, followed by a guided tour of the Wilson Hutterite Colony. Learn about modern culture on the colony from the Hutterites living and working there and enjoy a home cooked lunch with the community.

FULL-DAY TOUR

Blood Tribe Economic Development presents Blackfoot history on this journey hosted by Blackfoot Elders. See a medicine wheel and residential school, and experience modern Blackfoot culture at Kainai Indian Days [featuring dancing, craft vendors and more], and learn about modern-day initiatives and governance on the reserve. Includes a lunch of traditional Blackfoot foods.

 

Writing-on-Stone

EARLY BIRD: AUG 7

FULL-DAY TOUR

Blanche Bruisedhead, Kainai interpreter at the Galt Museum, joins us as our expert tour guide to this amazing Provincial Park - a pending UNESCO World Heritage Site of spiritual signficance to the Blackfoot people.

Tour the new interpretive centre and view a protected rock art site with provincial rock art guides. This trip includes a fabulous picnic lunch.
