1975 Winter Games' Memorabilia, ca. 1975
P20050005001-3, 10

Items were collected by or gifted to Jack Welch. Welch was employed by Moore Business Forms which suggested he volunteer for the Games as a public relations gesture. The business' Toronto head office supported Welch's efforts, paying him his base salary while he was away from work. Welch assisted Game organizers in areas such as scheduling and logistics.

In order to host the Games' 3,000 national athletes, Lethbridge built two new facilities. These included the Sportsplex and Stan Siwik Pool. Volunteers came from every community south of Claresholm, east of Blairmore, west of Bow Island and north of the US-Canadian border.
