This silver cup trophy was brought back by the 1951 World Hockey Champions. Canada took first place in this tournament held in Paris, France. Thirteen nations took part, each team playing one another once. The Lethbridge Maple Leafs, representing Canada, helped Canada become the world champions for the 14th time in March 1951. Canada had a victory of 5:1, leaving Sweden in second place, followed by Switzerland in third.
