Oliver first came into production at sometime during the early 1900s. On November 5th, Oliver celebrated his 96 patent birthday! He originally hailed from Chicago but moved to Medicine Hat to work in the Medicine Hat Store. While most of his keys of his QWERTY keyboard are frozen in place due to old age, his manual carriage is still moveable and he is in overall good condition. Oliver moved to the Museum in 1987 and has resided here ever since.
