Coalhurst is excited to offer an Old-Fashioned Games Night. The evening will feature games such as "Capture the Flag" & "Kick the Can", old-fashioned floats and treats. Grown-ups are invited to accompany youth! Outside, weather permitting.

Learn about Magrath, the Garden City, by visiting the Magrath Museum. Magrath, established 1899 by Mormon workers from Utah and Idaho who were recruited by the Alberta Railway and Irrigation Company, was important in the development of irrigation throughout southern Alberta. Open House & Tour of The Michelsen Farmstead
Corner 6 St and 2 Ave, Stirling

Guided tours by the Stirling Historical Society with stories of the Michelsen Family Farm, now a Provincial Historic Site. The farmstead is a typical family farm in Stirling, of approximately 100 years ago. The village is a National Historic site-the best surviving example in Canada of a Mormon agricultural village. This year will also be Stirling's 109th Birthday.

Kite Flying Workshop
Galt Historic Railway Park | first turn at Stirling [follow "Train Station" signs]

This event organized by the The Great Canadian Plains Railway Society will include the history of kite making, instructing participants on how to build a kite from everyday materials, and flying a home-built kite on location. A guided tour of the Coutts/Sweetgrass International Depot dating back to the 1890s is also included. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
